I just planted a bunch of glossotigma in some pool filter sand substrate and I've noticed some fish waste accumulating on the sand. I'm just wondering how I should clean it without uprooting the fragile plants. I guess plants use fish waste as food in a sense, so is it even really that big of a problem?

I don't clean the area where my plants are just those that there are no plants. I let the MTS take care of it for me.

maybe you can create a water disturbance to get the waste into the water again with a chance of being picked up by the filter...all without uprooting the plants.

my algae scraper works for me. I just wave it back and forth under water above the plants and that "blows" the debris into the water.
