Fry are swimming free alongside angel mom and dad

OK finally the fry broke free of the plants and are swimming in clusters. It's more fry than I thought I have. Here are some pics, dad is the one with black stripes, mom is white. What color would the fry be?

I really don't know what to feed them. I don't have those brine shrimp hatch that some website suggested. I bought the SERA MICRON for fry my LFS suggested and sprinkled them on the water surface but they don't seem to be feeding. I am afraid they will starve to death. Ideas?

Mom and dad are very busy watching them. They are very aggressive when I go near. They pushed a snail away last night.

The fry have no color. Should I add a few drops of MELAFIX to stop any fungi growth? I turned the filter to very low.

anyone has any idea how long it will be before the parental instinct goes away and the predator instinct comes back?

I *think* I saw the mom took two fry into her mouth and I did not see her spitting them back out like she used to. She did that a few times as I watched. Is she eating them?

I have had mine stay ina tank all the way to sexual maturity it depends on the parents... Congrats by the way..

Food wise look for liquid fry food.

That is awesome. Thanks for the pics. I have a some angels as well. They had some eggs, but they were eaten (maybe not fertilized ?) and after seeing your pics, I'm anxiously awaiting some more.

Well, unfortunately I don't have to answer that question anymore. Last I looked I have three left and I don't think they will last long. I think I had over 80 six hours ago and now they are all gone.

Either a deadly contagious disease hit them all, or they all starve to death, or the parents started to feed on them. Not sure, they are just all gone. No tiny bodies at the bottom of the tank either.

hey u have beatiful angels. ur male is the same as mine. they are called the wild strein. my female is a black n white marble. i think i got about 100 - 200 fry at the moment. the guy i bought my angels from breeds his n told me to feed the fry crushed up fish food! it worked the last time my angels breed. but the other fish in my tank ate the fry. so hopefully they make it this time around. since my angels have taken control of my tank and chased all the other fish to one side of the tank. good luck to u.

one other thing if you can get ur fry to grow to the size of a quarter. u might be able to sell them to a pet store. but they have to be free of disease n such. at least thats how it is in minnesota. again good luck to u.
