What would be a good temp to keep my tank while it is cycling and should I leave it that temp after it is done. Right now it is at 82

"Fishless cycle?" or
"Fishy cycle?"
If "fishy cycle" then you are bound to the temperature range the fish in your tank prefer.
If "fishless" "Set the heater to keep the temperature of the water up in the mid to high 80's."
Here is the link to AC forum on cycling:

The link in AC forum for fishless is currently broken so I will send you here for now:

What do you have for fish? I would leave it a 78-80 depending on what fish you have. If you were doing a fishless cycle I would raise it, but with fish you really can't raise it without harming the fish
