Last weekend i set up my new 30g, and i used my old filter for 4 days (kept wet and active during the setup). Am i wrong or will this help speed up the cycling significantly?

short answer is yes, you may not have a cycle at all. i would have left it more than 4 days tho keep a good check on your water params and if you can take some of the filter media and place it in your new filters.. areyou doin fish or fishless cycle> you need something in ther to keep the cycle going
Let's add though that without a source of ammonia your bacteria died during that 4 day period.

Well, i got plants, wood and nutrition in it now. The nitrit is reading a 0.2/0.5 and 0 amonia.

Not enough as you need that ammonia. Get some pure ammonia and add a bit or get some fish in that tank. You will have to start over if not.
good luck

I used a established canister in our community with fish when i set it up and was fully cycled within a week.
