he's normally up under a log with the other pictus today he sat still long enough for me to get 2 pics, turned my back for a second he was gone

He's very pretty. I hate having fish I never see, tho. I never could find my featherfins in my planted tanks so put them in a non-planted and see them all the time now. They're just too purdy to hide!

could someone tell me the differance between the pimelodus pictus and the pimedulla blochii? i have looked them both up and it seems this guy really looks more like the pimedulla.

all it is is the coloration. Other than that, there's not really a difference. Anyways, beautiful fish, I've gotten lucky enough with my Pictus where he comes out occasionally. I'm very happy with him, but he is very territorial.
