Hey, I recently came back from the local aquarium store and the lady said that it's very bad to turn off any filters that are already in the tank because they leak all the toxins they have collected.

I've got 1 quiet jebo filtering a box filter for nighttime, and during the day I used to have a gravel filter and another box filter active, but at night i turn them off because they make to much noise.

Is it safe to turn off a gravel and box filter for nighttime, or should I just ditch them both and reconnect it and use it as an oxygen pump?

Undergravel filters are really not good filters to use.
It is best to leave the filters on all the time because if you don't, some of the waste eating bacteria on the filters will die.

yeah. you should leave your filters on 24/7. there's no benefit to turning them off

I understand the bacterias will die, but is it better to have an extra box+gravel filters running even though i turn them off at night, rather than just the 1 filter 24/7?

Because i rather turn them off, even though the bacterias will die. But if its somewhat harmful to the fish, and releases toxins from the filter, then I wont do it.

I'd say it's better to have 1 filter running 24/7. Even better would be having both filters running 24/7.

Because the other pump(2xpump) is so loud and i cant sleep with it on at night.

I don't think the pump should be that loud that it disrupts your sleep. You should check to see if it is properly set up

you could also go with a marineland penguin filter. I have 2 350s on my 55g tank and I can barly tell they are running.

Biowheel huh, I like the idea!
I think I will, they're much more cost friendly than the canister filters and I am on a budget.

Thanks
