we have to blue gouramis in our tank and they appear to be males, they have been together quite while with our other fish and all get along fine. i was wondering if it would be possible to add a couple of female blue gouramis or would this cause them to become agressive
What size is your tank and what are the inhabitants?

the tank is 48x12x15. we have 2 kissing gourami, a plec, 3 mickey mouse platys a few neon tetras, mollies and guppies oh and 2 frogs. all have been living in harmony for a while now but have recently upsized from a 36x12x12. we also have a few baby mollies
No, it wouldn't work because the 2 kissing gouramis you have can reach a foot long.

Your tank is pretty overstocked as it is, and as mentioned, those kissing gourami and the pleco will quickly outgrow your tank. Kissing gourami can reach close to a foot long, and the pleco will reach 18 inches or over. If you would like to keep these fish for the long term, I would begin planning at least an 85G tank for them, or return them to the store.

thanks for your reply, approximately how long will it take for the aforementioned fish to get to their full size. We have kept the smaller tank and are thinking of setting it up again for the smaller ones, and we still have the little tank too which we have kept to use as a quarantine/hospital tank as and when needed
