Life expectancy for fancy guppy

Am I correct to say that the average life expectancy would be around 2 years for a fancy guppy?

Yep, GM, though some make it past three years properly kept.

I wonder how old the fancy guppies are when you see them in retail stores...I guess one would have to subtract that from the two years to get the length of time you cd own/breed them.

You'd have to base the age on their size I suppose. My females that are 2-3 years old are roughly 2" long.
