I know that competing males with chop of claws and legs when fighting over the girlie crabs, but will they kill each other off? I have a crab thats MIA and there is not way he can get out because I have a heavy lid and screened off every opening. I haven't found any body parts, for that matter, either. Maybe they are mafia crabs and one was whacked and buried under a rock in the corner? Who knows?

Yeppers hunt down and kill other snails, do not breed real fast and will not kill their own kind..... Gotta love that.

We had a crab go MIA, he may have gotten out,but I doubt it, the only thing low enough for him to climb was the heater, and I had an inverted, sealed off, 1/2 gallon tank on top of the aquarium, as sort of a crab apartment. We haven't smelt any decaying crab and he went missing over a month ago. Maybe its a conspiracy.
