Recently found a bargain I couldnt pass up.
Classified in the newspaper for a 120 gallon tank, stand, filter and other accessories for $300.00, so I took the plunge.
Went to look at the set up and noticed the owner let the tank go to the algae gods.
Need some suggestions for when I get it home and clean it up.
What would be the best way to rid the tank, filters, heaters and other accessories of the algae accumulation.
Also once I get the tank up and running what would be the easiest and "cheapest" fish to start off with. Note: my daughter has a 5 and 20 gallon tank already established so we are not that new to the hobby but also not that educated on stocking such a large tank.
Any suggestions or guidance would be much appreciated.
