DVR question

We have metrocast cable vision and we upgraded our HD box to a HD dvr box (not a bad deal, only $5 more a month). They didn't leave us with a manual on the box. Does anyone have a metrocast or similar (maybe comcast) DVR box, and if so, do you know the capacity of the memory?


edit : I'm new to dvr, but is there anyway to transfer recorded media to a pc,

you can transfer it to your PC but i have no idea about the memory

We have DirecTV with DVR and it has a little bar thing that shows you how much memory you have, I have no idea if yours would have the same thing but maybe try looking under settings?

I looked everywhere and ours doesn't show memory, but maybe it will when its hooked up to the pc via usb (i just found the usb port)
