I don't know much about snails but I want to start keeping some with my shrimp. I'll be changing the shrimp over to a 10+ gallon as soon as my current babies grow up some. The primary use of the snails will be food for the Dwarf Puffers and snacks for Clown Loaches. These are my requirements:

1. Can be kept with my Red Cherry Shrimp.
2. No trapdoor (I read these are best, do they even exist?).
3. Will multiply quickly.
4. (optional) Best snail for Dwarf Puffers.

Thanks.

What do you mean "best for dwarf puffers"? as food? Usually, Malaysian Trumpet Snails are not as easily consumed by puffers as other, such as pond snails, though both of these will reproduce as light speed if the conditions are right!

My dwarf puffers loved Rams Horn snails. They work great and don't have a trapdoor and they multiply really fast.

Yes, as food.

Rams Horn snails sound like they're exactly what I need.

Thanks for the replies.
