hey guys im in south florida and we are expecting to get hit by this storm. i didn't think about my tanks to the last minute i currently have three tanks one is co2 injected and the rest aren't. how should i go about with this ? i dont have time to go and get a battery powered air pump. but i do have a very large gel cell battey and a small 100 watt inverter that i believe i can run 2 air pumps with for 24+ hours. would this be enough? also should i turn off my co2 tank now or wait for the power to go out. my 30 gallon is heavily planted and i know plants make oxygen but when the lights are out they use oxygen and produce co2. thanks in advance .

If your CO2 is on a solenoid then it will turn off automatically, however I don't think it would hurt to turn it off now. The battery would be a good option. The other thing you can do while the power is out is to every half hour to hour you can go to the tank and take a cup, scoop some water out and poor it back in, do this about 10 times and that should help oxygenate the water some as well. This would be an option for you once the battery is done.

Nothing to add other than to stay safe! My daughter is in Punta Gorda right where Charlie hit land at 140 miles per hour. I don't think this storm will get to that strength but you never know when it hits open water.
