Hello all.....had to remove my pictus cat...actually it was a 4 line pim....due to aggressiveness. Picked up 3 Debauwi cats, and really like them so far. They do, however, stay exclusively at the top of the tank, in the spray bar stream. They dart back and forth through the current, staying together. Do they just need some time to settle in? Will they eventually move down to the lower levels of the tank?

I also am thinking about adding a keyhole cichlid. From what I have researched and learned from 2 LFS, it seems like a real special fish. I worry about it with the sev....the sev is generally peaceful and gets along famously with my geo, and the keyhole I am looking at is nearly fully grown, but the sev. is definitely the ruler of the tank. I also saw a small geo labiatus.........may pick up one or the other of those. Any thoughts?

hmmmmmm IMO it is a hit or miss with the severum... mine does not allow anything else in the tank besides a CAE....... but you could try it and keep close watch

my sev will generally make his presence known to other fish, but rarely chases anything down. I am amazed at the interaction with my geo.....maybe I will try it....

Not sure on the severum as I don't have any experience, but keyholes are very mild and quiet fish--I'd get a pair at least. A little territorial if breeding, but pretty docile fish, but not push overs either--they jump right into the feeding frays. Great snail eaters they make, too LOL.

I saw your other post...I'd get a pair of keyholes if you have the room, and not just the one.

Well, I think there is room, but I don't want to overcrowd the tank...
