New Tank and Fish

I bought my niece(3 yrs old) a 10 gal tank as she wanted to be like her auntie, but her mom said only 1 tank
We went out and got the first fish for her tank -- here are some pictures of the pround new owner

Her new guppies (cuppies as she called them) The man thought she was so funny as she was so excited - he wrote Katey's Guppies on the bag

on the way home she held the bag and kissed it and gently hugged it!!

She spent most of the afternoon on her little couch in front of the tank

She called me a little bit ago to tell me she fed her 'cuppies' and that she 'lubs' them very much!! she also said her mom was being mean cause she wouldn't let her sleep in the living room so her fish wouldn't get scared!!

I love it!! I am sure within a few years she will have MTS for sure!! LOL:11:

Give her a year and she'll be speaking in latin terms LOL I'll never forget when we had a visitor asking what kind of plant was in the front of one of my tanks.. 'Is that Riccia?' Just to hear a little dismayed sigh from the corner of the room 'Nooo!!!! ..that's Pogostemon helferi' from my 4 year old :hmm3grin2orange: I couldn't stop laughing...

she already calls my cichlids -- the africans -- I keep waiting for someone to bust down my door thinking I am keeping actual africans locked in my house.:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

She is so proud of her "cuppies" she shows everyone that comes by -- even the UPS man!! LOL
I told her next week maybe we could go get a couple of platies -- she said "she doesn't think plates will fit" LOL

Very nice. I also love the last pic where her arm is still wet fro putting something in the tank. Also love the bag with 'Katye's Guppy' on it... little things like that make it all the more special for the kids !!

the guy who netted our fish was awesome and put her name on for her -- she was so thrilled!! she wants to feed the fish all the time LOL

I can't take credit on the tank -- she picked out the color gravel and the decorations and helped me put them in -- she decided where to put everything!!
I figured it was her tank -- so she should say!!!
