running filter- how long ?

I have had my 29 gal tank up and running for 2 months. It's a community tank with 14 small fish, guppys,neons,zebra danno's. My water is crystal clear and I change about 25% of the water every week. My question is, " do I need to run the filter, Cascade 300 rated for 75 gal tank, all the time. Can I shut it off at night ?

NO. That filter supplies oxygen to the fish as well.

please don't do that the fish will suffer from oxygen loss.

are you trying to minimize electricity?
if you are shut the light off at night and cut it on in the morn.

Light should only be on 12-14 hours per day, filters on all the time.
