My tank is not right again ! I found out yesterday that when you add chemicals you are supposed to take out or shut off all charcoal so I did . Then added drops of a water clear product that is supposed to take just a few hours . When I woke up today it was no different . The water isn't murky , you can see thru it , but it is not crystal clear , which I am used to , and it has a sort of orage haze to it . I tested the water and all levels are within the safe and ideal range , so what gives . I am also back to having the fish waste float , even if it is just a few ,just never had that before . Anyone have any ideas .?
It is a 29 G , upper and lower filters ,2 plecos , 2 African Butterflies , 5 small tiger barbs and one parrot . No plants , just a couple of deco objects.

Rather than using chemicals to get your tank clear, you should do more cleaning and vacuuming. Perhaps stuff is getting past your filter and you may need to use floss to get those fine particals better.

You also have a lot of fish in a 29 gallon. Two plecos and your blood parrot will soon be too large for that tank. You also mention upper and lower filters but not what they are or what size they are. By lower filter, I hope you don't mean an under gravel filter?

My 30g tank had this red/orange tint to it and for about 2 weeks and i thought it was just the color of the gravel making it that way.

Did a 50% water change and poof...it was crystal clear. So there must have been something like tannins or a chemical i added that made the water like that.

If i were you just do a few water changes. If it continues to get dirty again then you probably don't have enough filtration.

#1 Tannis from wood or dying plant matter

#2 Suspended brown Alage...

Basically do a water change cut back on feeding and see what happens....
