red devils laying eggs....

hi all ..my mating pair of devils are currently laying eggs on a flat piece of slate......but none hatch!!!....they develope a white mold after a week then i think they get eaten.....am i doin g something wrong ???.......

Might be a silly question but, are you sure you have a male and a female? Nuchal humps aren't always a definate sign of a male. I've seen plenty of RDs with beautiful humps laying eggs :confused:

Aside from that, how old are they? what size tank are they in? what/if any tankmates?

Could be that they are just young

the white is peobably fungus, try adding Methylene Blue (SP?) to prevent the eggs from getting fungified
