Niece's new "tank"

My niece Katey, has called me 3 times today to ask me when we were going to pick up her new "tank"! I don't think she really cares about putting fish in it yet. She said she wants to be like auntie and have tanks!! LOL she is only 3 -- she will be 4 in September. I am thinking by the time she is 10 she will have mts!! I am not sure my sister is all that thrilled -- LOL
I will teach her the right way to take care of her tank and by the time she is 10 she will be able to handle it on her own!! LOL Of course my sister will probably disown me! LOL:14:

that's cool. are you going to be doing the tank maintenance for her regularely? your sister doesn't sound like she's too into it so she might not want to have the extra responsibility. i'm glad your neice is interested though, it will be a great learning experience for her. my kids love the tanks and are always asking questions about the different fish. they even get excited when i do water changes. one even tells me what a good mom i am to clean the fishies poopy tank.:1luvu: are you going to let her help decorate the tank?

Youre a wonderful aunt!Congrats on the purchase of YOUR new tank lol!My daughter had a tank when she was 4 she liked feeding the fish but that was about it.It is cool of you to get her started.

I will show my sister how to test the water and do water changes!! I am normally over there at least once a week to visit my niece and do "projects" -- we make different things!! She has already bought a castle for her tank -- she is into princess's -- I will let her help me set everything up and she wants to help put the water in.
We go to the pet store each week and walk around -- she would love to have a "nemo" but explained her "tank" won't be big enough. She has picked out platies, guppies and then someone here suggested we do otos with the group!!
She loves coming to my house and checking out my "tanks" -- I have 3 soon to be 4.
I am not sure who is more excited -- me or her!! LOL I will take pictures while we set up and such!!

I already am seeding the filter media as well as some gravel in order to speed up the cycle process.:19:
