I would say Platy, if compared to Fancy Guppies. Endler's are much hardier then platies.

Just something I wanted to bring up here. Part of the problem with many species like guppies is that the extreme amount of selective breeding that has taken place has also produced some genetic weaknesses as well. Unfortunately when you start doing the selective breeding to produce a desired color strain you have no way of knowing what other things you are passing along as well. Unfortunately if there is a genetic weakness in one of the specimens used, that weakness can be passed on to the entire strain. The over breeding in a number of species is what has created a lack of hardiness in many of them and also has produced other issues. For example, if you look at most of the male Cherry Barbs that you can purchase they are almost pink. This coloration is the result of over breeding, a wild male cherry barb (rare as they are) is a deep cherry red. While captive breeding is a good thing there have been some mistakes made and those mistakes have lead to some weak strains/bloodlines of certain species.

Agreed, and that is because of the lack of cross breeding and selective breeding with Endlers. They are one of the last strains of wild guppy that is still being bred captively for it's wild coloration.

Actually I would put the two ALMOST on a par...I have just cycled my new severum tank with about 200 + mixed guppy and platie frye...and had no casualties amongst either...
In my mixed livebearer tank...the same applies...both hold up extremey well...although of the two the shop-bought guppies are slightly more susceptible to disease..Those that are home-bred are just as hardy...

Platy. I've had 2 of 5 guppies die on me. I've had 0 of 9 platies die.

I agree with gemstone, home bred are ALWAYS hardier. You never know what the fish went through when they were raised in the giant fish-farming vats...
