what size tank? if its under a 125g the flowerhorn is probably getting territorial

In the petshops usually there are a lot of fish in a tank and they can't make territories for themselves, also its not permanently, but in your tank a fish like flowerhorn will likely capture the whole tank for himself, specially if its under 75g.
flowerhorns are generally very aggressive and most people keep them alone, except in big tanks like 125g or above, and they may still show aggression.
