Egg whites

Is egg white safe for adult fish? I read somewhere that it is used for fry sometimes, so I was curious how adult fish would react to it and gave them some, they pretty much went crazy on the small morsels I gave them...
Seems like if it its safe for fry that it would be really gentle on adult fishes stomachs... correct me if I'm wrong. If it is safe I may make some regimen of egg whites, once a week, once a month...any suggestions? They went crazy on the stuff...:19:

Egg yolk is for fish. Not the whites.

Ah... thank you... actually i got the same answer from my bro in law too and he is raising angelfish fry presently... so i will try that sometime, but they sure seemed to love the whites??? Any problem with yolks for adults?

Exactly, my South African friends. Hard boiled, yolk strained through muslin or fine cloth.

thanks dave...most fish keeping done here...well....lets just say...there are many good fish keepers....but..many more horendous stories than good ones, and unfortunately many people are from the old school and refuse to learn new things...it is a question of...if it was good enough for my father..etc..

ive never heard of using the white. I used the yolk when my guppies were born.
