cucumber raw upto 24 hours some blanch it but it gets mushy very quick both ways are good weight it down leave rind on for pleco they enjoy..........does not affect the water
squash.........never tried it
watermelon.......take all the pips out and leave in for half an hour then take out.........will affect your water if left in to long,
prawns are also good for plecs, peas for prevention of constipation, not much is left before you worry about water:hmm3grin2orange:

You can weigh the veggies down with a small fork.

Lovely pleco!

I put my veggies in the tank at night and take them out the next day when I get around to it. Generally first thing in the morning but sometimes later.

We offer zucchini, romaine, spinach leaves to our plecos...raw.
They absolutely love them!
Most pet stores sell veggie clips. They work pretty well.
Or you can also use plant weights
(the kind that come on live aquarium plant bundles)
We remove them after about 6-8 hours..usually not much left of the veggies.
