Hi Everyone
I had 2 male Dwarf male Gouramis and 3 females.
I just lost one of the males. Think he got into a fight with the other male. They are in a 30 gal tank with a few platies and gold clouds.
Two of the female Gouramis are plumping up nicely. I was going to breed one of the females to my other Gouramis who died.
I was reading that it is best to place 2 females in the breeding tank with the one male. Is this right?
Is it a good idea or not?
Thanks for your help.

That is true. When you put them in a breeder tank. The male will create a bubble nest. After that, the female will lay her eggs in the nest, and the male will fertilize them. Wait two days after the female lays eggs, and remove all other fish. The eggs should then hatch, and wahla, new fry =D
