Get back to what this forum is really about. Helping others, giving advice and lending encouragement??????? Can we STOP being childish, petty and upset because things may not go our way? There's no point in "stomping your feet" here because we can't hear you.

We could all so easily be good friends and be having fun here but lately it's more like Romper Room than a fish forum. This forum is not about YOU......it's about ALL the members. It's not about contests. Those are only an added bonus for your enjoyment. And it's not about who is the boss as we all agree that William is still in charge.

So chill out, grow up, and be happy we have this site and the good people here with all the help they offer.

This is the time of year we should all be the happiest. It's almost Christmas.

I like the banner, its very festive with the red. lol. Back to the topic at hand though, i agree we all need to get back to what this forum is about... discussing our hobby and helping eachother out.

Ok i agree but i feel as though I should comment. For many of us, although I will speak for myself only, AC started out as a site to gather information about the hobby of keeping fish. But I seem to some here (log in) more than once a day...sometimes many times...and I have come to realize that all the fish stuff is secondary to something else or why would I spend so much time on the site. I have made at least 2 good friends (quite GOOD friends) as a result of this site and participatie in many different personal discussions with them through-out the week. I continue to hear people comment that we need to redirect our conversations here and I agree that this is important, however, w/i some sections of this site (chatterbox) it is ok and totally acceptable to have non-fish related conversations. I could really care less about how others 'interput' my posts as I know that I have the best of intentions and as a MOD will always state what I believe to be correct and appropriate. I will continue to do so until asked to do otherwise.

Is this site about the hobby of fish keeping?...yes...but more importantly to me anyway is that this site should be about the hobby of friend making.

My last question is that if we all were here to learn about fish and meeting new people wasn't important why wouldn't we just go to the library and check out a book instead? My favorate part of this site is the responses and comments that I recieve from my new found aquintances, and especially when they are contrary to my own opinion. Thats when I learn something new about this hobby.

Enough of NB spouting off. I just could't let my opinion not be heard here. So to all my friends here at AC, Cheers and Happy Holidays. You are the part of AC that I think is great.

You're a good MOD and keep things grounded around here, NorthernBoy. You're not afraid to speak out when something doesn't set right with you (as I am, unfortunately) but always with the good of the forum and the members. I like you just the way you are.

I have to feel a little guilty here for starting a harmless thread that got out of control.

Perhaps instead of one mod pulling rank on things, they could discuss any issues about a thread with other mods, before things blow out of preportion, if this does not work, then each could put there argument to william.

Well first of all: yes the forum and the chatter box are here to discuss everything on God's/Allah's/the great spaghetti monsters green earth. (Everything family friendly that is)

But yes I agree lets stay away from all the bickering, accusing and anger and focus on talking, discussing and perhaps even arguing as friends.

I would in the spirit of this like to ask everybody to contact me if you have a problem with a user and I will then act. This will prevent ill will between all of you. Suspect anyone of cheating, contact me and I'll check (yes I can see if anyone is cheating), is anyone rude or using a foul language, pm me and I'll talk to them. Do you think a mod is giving you a hard time contact me and I'll look into it. The moderators (title now displayed in their profiles) do a great job but they are after all only humans and can get irritated, tired just like everyone else of us. I might not post much due to time restraints and internet problems but I check my pm at least twice I day so you can expect a reply if you contact me.
