Land Crabs?

I was at my LFS today and I saw what they called Land Crabs. They were the biggest crabs I had ever seen available for sale. They seem like they'd be awesome for impressing girls from the bar. Well... probably not, but I still want some. I was wondering if anyone had ever kept these gigantic crustaceans before and could give me a little information about them. I tried to find out about them on the internet, but details seem to be lacking.

were they large land hermit crabs?

No, they were gigantic crabs that looked like a red crab. They were $14.99 each. Their tank was half in water with a bunch of rocks above the surface where some of them were hanging out. I looked them up on wikipedia and the picture looked like them. Here's the picture.

ahhh, those guys. I think theyre fiddlers/some other like crab, they need brackish water. the member squirt_12 has fiddlers, he should be able to chime in and give you info

Thanks cocoa! Yeah, these beasts were way bigger than fiddlers.
