So I have a new friend at work who is trying to convince me to get a saltwater set up. I'm considering it and am thinking a nano reef thingy with those anenomies (sp?) and some clown fish. I'd need nine so I can name them after the guys who work for me.
Question is, how many gallons per clown do I need?

Depends on the type of clown, there are quite a few. But if you wanted Ocellaris clowns it would take roughly 10gal per clown. You are looking at needing roughly a 90gal for that undertaking. I would recommend against the Anemones though, they have terrible survival rates in captivity and they are not required to for keeping Clownfish.

yep, depends on tank size. for a anemone and clown, i say bare min. 55g
