I am so annoyed that I can't find my macro lens <tears hair out> but thought I would share these pics anyway...

The fry are now 5 days old and will probably take off tomorrow to swim through the tank for the first time or the day after.

The Parents

Guarding the babies

The little ones

And a bad close up of the little ones

You can already clearly see their eyes as well as the eggsacks nearly being empty....

As soon as I find my macro lens I will take some proper close ups ...

They love those swords leaves for spawning, don't they? I had one pair that would "always" use the filter tube. I had plants in there for them, a pvc pipe, a piece of slate but it was always that darned tube they preferred.

Very very cool Jess.

And please don't tear out your hair, it is far too nice to do that to it. LOL

Thanks folks :11: All their work not mine LOL

They are indeed crazy about the Bleheri plant and it is the only thing in the tank they will use for spawning...they then proceed to move the fry from one leaf to another all day long... I really hate the plant but cannot get rid of it because of this.... the fish's wishes come first :c2:

It is amazing how small the fry are...within 3 weeks they will have the proper little Angel body just in tiny form...

Shame they are so unbearable when breeding <sighs> Can't get the tank cleaned properly and the other fish are all stuck to one side of the tank ...
