Well, the Blue Rams have been at it again:thumb:
Maybe the female won't decide to eat them this time.

If they make it to the fry stage again, I am going to try putting them in a floating fry trap.
That is the male guarding the eggs, he is a good dad.thumbs2:

Congrats KF! Don't you have an extra 10 gallon sitting around though? Better start cycling that for the grow out. They can't live in a floating fry net forever and 30 to 50 little suckers aren't going to grow fast in one.

Though you already know how I feel about these contraptions don't ya?:ezpi_wink1:

Gotcha, Alex:thumb:
I'm going to just put the wigglers in the fry trap if they hatch, and move them to a 10g when they are free swimming. They've never made it past the wiggler stage without becoming food for mom.

Ok rams are seen as a easy species to keep and breed, but nothing is less true.
well you can keep them on acceptable water values but to breed the m you should go to pH 5-5.5 and a Kh an Gh that are as low as possible, temperature should be ±27șC an d then your next bunch of eggs will hatch and you will be able to let the fry with the parents because your rams will know how to take care of them.

ask Fishalicious because sh has some offspring of my rams (tjech tankbred fish).

good luck on the next attempt ;)

Well, last week I added a female to my 55g which already had a male, and guess what?

Maybe the newlyweds will fare better than the other pair. At least now with two spawning pairs my chances are doubled.:19:
