Ok since I have a smaller tank How would a nice group of saulosi be for my tank I figure they would be better suited since they are dwarfs but still need and idea of how many and male female ratio. Pez

Choose what you like best, not what someone else likes, after all it is YOUR tank.
I think peacocks are a great choice, and more beginner friendly.
Check out the stickied threads in this section on peacocks (and mbunas) to see what sounds best. Also check out my Photobucket page for pics of my peacocks to see if you like them.
As far as which species, you are usually limited to whatever your LFS happens to carry. Unless you have a really good LFS that has labels about the exact collection location and uses scientific names, you need to assume they are hybrids. Just check out the LFS and see which ones stand out to you.

I agree 100% with Fish guy but if you do like the saulosi, 1 male & 3-5 females sounds right.
