They are all molly fry from either a Silver, Or a black Momma not sure on which are really which... Except the silver fry of course. The stripped one could be from either since he managed to hide in the main tank for 3+ batches.

1sy picture is a silver Molley fry only adult is picture 4

Eos 40D is the camera I'm using.

First off I want to think all of you for your praise and let out a little of my secert....

Drum Roll Please......http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/music024.gif

I stole everything I know from someone else....thumbs2:

I honest truth when I first started taking pics of my fish which was not long ago I sucked the big Kahoonie... So I read a lot of different articles and other stuff online... I browsed 1000's of photos took a 100+ myself before getting to the point you see now. Funny thing is if you watched my post it was a night and day difference almost overnight when I figured out the true secert... Where to position the Flash... Overhead....

I am working on a top secert supper dupper project that will go into more detail on all of this soon so stand by and be ready to go ... "Aww man it really is that simple".:ezpi_wink1:

Yep...the EOS 40D is a pretty nice SLR camera to get the close up lens with it your lookin' at least $1500.00 + ... nice camera :)
I would like a nice SLR Cannon or Nikon...but it is a little out of my range at the moment...when I get out of school again and start my career...shouldn't be a problem...Keep 'm Comin'

What I am using is the $350 macro and does a pretty decent job as you can see. I'm running on the 50mm 1/2 life size macro by canon, but if you need the body also that can jack the price a little.:c10: That same lens can be used on any of Canons Digital bodies like the new XS that is coming out. So you could easily get started for under $1000 with Flash which you will need.

What is different is the crop when using different lenses.. What a good 1:1 ratio macro with extension tubes will do is allow you to shoot the entire frame like what you see in my pics without having to crop. What you are seeing in my photo is about 1/4 more or less of the entire frame. To get a setup like that without the camera is $800+ the setup I'm working towards is around $2500 just for the lens.:ezpi_wink1:

With DSLR prices dropping and more beginner lenses becoming ava. It will not be long before anyone can afford a entry level camera just like it was before digital took over.

99% of taking pictures has nothing to do with the camera it is the person behind the viewfinder that makes the difference. You could give a $3.00 disposable camera to a pro and a $10,000 delux setup to a rank novice and the pro will still out shoot the novice, because he knows what to do and has an instictive knowledge of what makes a good shot. Now give the pro that same $10,000 dollars in equipment and the sky is the limit on what he can do.

Now that gives me an Idea off to shoot some more pictures....thumbs2:

Agreed. it is all about manual settings...and knowing how to use them for the appropriate effect. However, a lens can speak a thousand words...I am happy for you...you should have a nice, nice, nice setup.
