I was doing a long-overdue thorough tank cleaning and noticed something tiny and fast. A closer look revealed it to be a baby buescheri, all of about 1/4" long. One thing I do like about the buescheri, they only produce 2-3 fry each spawn (no problem with them overcrowding the tank.) Otherwise they're similar to Julies, excellent parents and overall peaceful fish if a bit on the shy side. The juvies are more visible than the spawning pair or small fry.
