I didn't know where else to put this except here. But I do have a question about the Bala and The labeo. I never had sharks in my tank or owned any sharks. But I am curious of how the Bala and the Labeo would do well with each other in the same tank. Maybe this might not be a wise idea. I do like variety in my tank. And aren't these two saltwater or can they survive in freshwater?

bala and Lobeo are freswater fish and could be kept in the same aquarium since they have similar needs.
I recommend that you read.

Thanks for the Bala shark article. I didn't know that they would be good for detecting ich in the tank. Thats something I need to remember.

Most true sharks (and all that you can usually find in the trade) grpws to be to large for your aquarium. You could keep them in your tank for a while but would need to get a larger aquarium eventually.
One of the smallest available species are the marbled cat shark that grows to be 2 ft and there are a number of other available sharks ranging between 2-3ft.
