And she does. :) I was looking into this rock for a cichlid tank. It's pretty awesome.

On aquabid.com some guy had a 110 pound texas holy rock for $500, looked really good though. I just don't know how I could get it in my tank without dropping it and breaking the floor and the tank.

The first set of rocks on that page was about 20 bucks + 10 shipping for 2 pounds of rocks. Thats 15 bucks a pound. I love the holey rock and would have it in my tank but I can't pay that much (even if I could pay that much I'm not sure I would). I have almost 200lbs of rock in my tank now, if I replaced that with holey rock at $15 a pound that would be 3K (for rocks?). I have some friends going to texas soon and might have them bring me some holey rock back. The cost in texas is much less I hear.

I didn't say it was cheap. Just cool. :) I would love some of it and wish they had it around here somewhere. I think a person would also have to be careful the holes were large enough that their larger cichlids didn't get stuck.

I don't know about the those prices, f1oored. Shipping to MI is 13.95 for a $4.95 stone that is 7" x 8" weighing 4 pounds. Shipping would not be that much if a person was to get say 3 of those pieces at $4.95. Nearly everyone combines shipping on Ebay. I wouldn't want more than 3 of them and then add slate and other stone. I'm thinking more like $15 in stone and $20 to ship but then......??

My cousin and his dad spent more on rock for their pond than my cousin's brother (I guess my cousin still, but to keep things clear) did on his fiance's engagement ring. I think that is funny. They spent more on rock than he did.
