I don't have much success with ystery snails for some reason....they do fine for a few weeks...and then they die off....and no...nothing is wrong with the water..

Are you sure they are dead? They can hibernate for long periods at a time, especially if they are well fed.

yep might just be happy lazy snails. Cool pic i am cureently on a no buying snail strike as mine have been laying eggs like crazy . your snails are only dead if there bodys ar coming out of the shell they float alot....

Check out this huge gold mystery snail of mine. He is almost a record setter.
The one next to him is a normal size mystery snail. The big one is 1" wide or a little more. Quite happy with him. He is housed in my 5.5 gallon tank with a male betta 2 golden clams and 3 other snails, (adding some exotic shrimp soon shrimp soon). I just recently planted bulbs in that tank too.

apple snails and mystery snails are the same thing, just different names. Also it seems as though you thought i was trying to figure out why so big... not the case...
