hi all just wondering i have a breeding pair in a tank on there own (i have just brought them) and i didnt know what to do when they do spawn do i leve both the parents to look after the eggs and fry or just one and how do i know what is male and what is female

it depends on them. some of them are good parents and some not. you can move the eggs to another tank or wait and see what they do.

for male and female, usualy the dominant one is the male. or look at their breeding tube and take pic or tell us what you see if you see anything. or wait till they spawn!

Except with my mated pair...the female definatly reigns the tank. When she gets in a mood of reminding everybody the tank is hers they are just lucky enough to live in it...the male knows his place is behind the driftwood :p
