As I mentioned in my other thread my female pearl is swimming sideways, like horizontally, and doing a lot of twists through the water like she's dizzy or something. Now I'm noticing she looks slightly bloated only on one side of her body and looking at the her from top of the tank down her back is very slightly in an "s" shape. Please help I can't take another fish death

I'm no expert (far from it) but it sounds to me like she has either injured her spine or she has the beginning stages of dropsy. Either way, I would put her in a quarantine tank and say my goodbyes, as I don't think either is especially treatable. You never know though, so don't give up hope!

Can you tell as what your tank setup is? And what your water levels are?, it could just be constipation

64gal bow-front. Pair angels, pair pearls, 15tetra or so n 4 corys. ammonia 0ppm, nitrite 0ppm, nitrate 10ppm, ph 7.8
they have been eating "tetracolor trop. flakes", "O.S.I. Discus flakes", frozen shrimp brine and bloodworms. Obviously not all at once.
What would some symptoms of constipation be?
What is dropsy?

loss of balance, and trouble swimming are the only two symptoms of my pearl and the disease finder said no disease matches. fish is quarantined and still alive and still just swimming like someone put helium in her. head is always faceing gravel, tail always facing up, spinning around almost like she forgot how to swim.

What would be the best way to treat swim bladder disease as I believe thats what my pearl has? She is quarantined and appears to be in quite a struggle. I want to help but am having major problems diagnosing the problem and i dont want to treat her for something she doesn't have. please, any help would be appreciated

Get some frozen peas, not canned as those have lots of salt added to them. Blanch a couple of the peas and then pop them out of their shells. Feed that to it and it should help clear up swim bladder problems.

I had a question regarding this. Should you mash up the peas to make it simpler for the fish to eat after peeling them? I found my fish stuffing them in their mouths and it just didnt look right.

ok i will try, hopefully this works....the fish is floating on the top and doesn't seem to be able to get down to the bottom, almost like it swallowed a floater, lol, it's sad to watch as it has a normal appetite and everything else seems to be normal. I will def try the peas, thanks again
