I picked it up today for like $15 since I got it 50% off they had it listed as Colt Coral but I'm not 100% sure. There are a lot of really tiny star fish on it, at least 10 I counted are they ok? Also picked up a Zoo frag for $12

Looks like a colt to me but give me a few minutes to be sure.

I think it is colt but it could also be finger leather or Christmas tree coral.

Yup, it's a Colt.
Seems popular, hope it was a good choice, thanks guys
Colts are good. Haven't had any issues with mine. The cann grow pretty large, but don't grow as quickly as Kenya tree and don't drop branches constantly like Kenya tree does. I am soooooo over my Keny tree!!!!! Hate it hate it hate it!!! LOL
Love my little coltie though. = )

The only thing to watch with Colts, is that they have a tendency to just up and melt away for no apparent reason. There is of course a reason, but there won't appear to be.
I've heard that as well. I haven't had mine for more that a couple months I think and it seems perfectly happy.

i had a small one a while ago and it melted, its weird how fast it happens
Any ideas what makes it do that? I'm just trying to keep my Peppermint Shrimp off of it, anything new I put in the tank they have to go over and climb all over it. I just had one in there and he never came out but since I put two they get into everything.

no idea with the melting, my current one is doing good. my first one looked good, then after a few hours, it shed and looked like a goop ball. at that point, it looked like it wouldnt make it and would foul the water so i got rid of it. Like GB said, its something with the water
