Hey guys,I'm ready to buy the lights for my tank and I was shopping on Ebay when I realized I have no idea what I'm looking for, like in terms of brand, wattage, bulbs, etc. So I need some recommendations and I also need help with how I'm going to arrange the lights because my tank is an awkward size (5'x16"). What do ya' think?

planted, fish only, or reef? if you dont mind a PC fixture, you can get this and ask the guy to put in daylight bulbs if youre going FW

im pretty sure they are, my 48" 260w PC light w/moonlights was $99 on ebay, the seller has them up all the time (he has none on now, so one of his auctions must have ended not too long ago). its a solid fixture, and ive had no problems with it. The moonlights and fans on the fixture are awesome. Im waiting to set my 90g reef up and put the 260w PC with my halides

FF33- PC fixtures are power compact fixtures, they give high wattage and are cheap, i personally like them

Hmmmm sounds like a sick deal to me.....any obj.? That fixture would provide a little over 3 watts wouldn't it?

Absolutely! I have the same fixture. I replaced all of the lights that came with it (wasn't into the 12000K lights, and 65 watts each was too much) with 2 55 watt GE9325K bulbs and 2 55 watt Coralife 6700k bulbs (<--for a mid-day burst). They require the "straight-pin" bulbs, which happen to be the only pin config that the GEs come in.
