Hey I have three Danios and a Betta in a 10 gal setup. I have noticed tonight that one of my Danios is noticably fatter and not as active as usual. I've heard of Bettas becoming constipated could this be a problem in Danios? Should I worry or do you think he/she will work through it on its own? I also posted about this in another place on here just b/c I'm not sure where the best place would be. I hope thats ok...

Another thought about the Danio... could it be pregnant? I mean fish have eggs and all but do they get like this before they lay eggs? If thats the case its not good news b/c my Betta will likely eat any eggs or fry that hatch. I dont have the extra money to set up a fry tank being right here at Christmas. Im gonna do some reading on Danios in the meantime while I wait for a response. Hope I can come across something.

thanks.

Hey I just read that the females are more full bodied than the males at maturity. Maybe its just a girl. I have one other that is a little bit thicker but I'm not sure this is what is going on, since the fish I'm concerned about is even fatter than either of the other two.

what kind of danios are in your tank? there's more than one type. ie- leopard, zebra, giant, etc..
