Many countries have stopped the import of fish for this reason. They breed constantly but the fry is so small that the die-off rate is high. And they don't hide but swim at the waters surface their first couple weeks making them an easy target.

Now that my other bows have started coloring up, I see they are M. Austrialia. I have one male that is NUTS and has taken over the whole tank. Very, very bossy he is. Pretty, tho, with a red tail with red coming up the body with a bluish head and red and black fins. He knows he's the prettiest in the tank by the way he's acting.
