What is the ideal water temperature for killies? I heard that they can endure hot water. Someone told me that he heard of one surviving I think he said 116 degree hot water. I told him he was lying. He said I should ask around.

This depend on what pecies you kept.
Some killi fish are coldwater fish, some tropical fish, and some tropical fish that prevails in very warm water.

I agree with wlliam, here, yet i'd like to add, that due to killis short life span (one or two years most species), the lower range for the species temperature assures a longer healthy life for your killis. This is a tendency, that most killi fans follow and is based on the fact that fish metbolism is higher at hotter water, thus shorter life span at higher temps also.

Thanks for pointing out the heat and cold differences that plays on the killies lifespan. I really need to keep that in mind. So i guess the guy was just pulling my leg than.
