i just bought a whisper 10-20 heater. I noticed my water temp was going down this morning so i turned it up a little, not much at all. when i got home from work my temp was over 86 and one of my platies where dead! :(. I would not recomend this heater to anyone.

If someone else has the same heater or brand please tell me how yours works. I want to know if its just mine that is doing this or maybe this brand is just bad.

I heard a lot about the stealth's too.
I have a visitherm deluxe that exploded today, so don't buy a deluxe by any means.
My fish were without heat for hours.

also with the stealths, as soon as they come out of the water, they shut off automatically. a very good and safe feature.

I wish i would have looked into it a little more before buying it. I think i finally got it set right though, Its staying consistant so at least it has that going for it.
