I really love German shepards, not as much of a fan of the american bloodlined ones as the true german lined ones...I like the size and temperment better of the germans :) Second and my next dog will definatly be a Boston terrier tho...great little dogs

Too many great dogs out there to pick LOL ... German Shepherds & Labradors are top of the list though for character.
In smaller dogs I love the character of the Border Terrier even though it is not the cutest their character is amazing.
Lookwise Rottweiler, Boston Terrier, French Bulldog..you get the idea...
I used to show dogs at the huge dog show Crufts - 4 years running and you get to see straight away which dogs are great characters when you see so many at once

Rhodesian RIdgebacks...Ihave three...used to breed them...unique to Africa...they handle the climate and unique illnesses here beautifully....they were bred here specifically to hunt and protect agains big game..such as lions..lol..they don't bark very often...but when they do..you need to go see what is cutting. They have the temperament of the labrador...but with an amazing protective instinct towards their family.

German Shephard would be my first choice.
Boxer or british bulldog would be a close second and third.

Basset Fauve De Bretagne. In the 1 1/2 years I have had this breed I have really changed my views on what a dog can and should be. Best temperment I've ever owned while maintaining that hunt instinct.
*This photo was not staged. They were just sitting out last Saturday in the morning sun. Camillia, 16 months. Countess, 10 weeks.

Even though I love gigantic dogs, the one breed I can't live without would be beagles.
I would absolutely love to have a mastiff eventually, but for now my dog family is full with my three beagles and my big mutt.
I love belgian tervurens but I love the temperment and looks of the flat-coated retrievers...but I cant forget my german short hair pointer I love him to death he has a great temperment but hes also very protective.

gonna have to say an English Springer Spaniel on this one. Great dog, very loyal, and when mine barks at strangers, it sounds like a dog 3 times her size is in the house. Although once they come in, she goes right up to them expecting a pet. What a chicken. Still love her though.

I have to say that there are way too many awesome dogs out there for me to decide on a favorite. But the two dogs that I have wanted forever would be a St. Bernard and a Great Dane. I love the huge dogs. But I absolutely love my GSD mix and my Lab.

Well, I have a morkie (maltese/yorkie mix), so I reckon I should say that morkies are my favorite (the dog in the picture is Izzy, my morkie, after a hair cut). However, I looove west highland terriers.

It would be far the pug. Why you may ask? 1) They are extremely cute 2) Has a big dog personality 3) They are extremely loyal 4) It has looks that are unmatched.
If I had to pick another dog it would be the Australian Cattle Dog by a long shot (still shorter than how much I like the pug though).

Mine would have to be the Boston Terrier. Mostly because of their personality, big dog in a little dog attitude, and they are loyal.

I'd have to say the Saluki. Which many people say are like cats...As for the dogs I think I might actually own: German shepherds and Corgis. (The two are similar in so many ways...except for leg-length lol.) My family has a corgi and she's great!
