Hello all, recently my Red Terror has been acting strange pointing vertically instead of horizontally and recently has developed a large bulge in the stomach and also has weird things hanging out of his anus. The appear to be a large worm, but that does not make much sense because there has been no fish introduced into this tank in five years. I have attached pictures hopefully you can see them and see what I am talking about.
Here is some more information:
Tank is a 200 gallon
7.3 Ph
0-Ammonia or Nitrite
10-Nitrate
Tank mates are:
1 male and 1 female Syno Cat
2 clown loaches
He is:
A seven year old (since I got him anyways) Red Terror, male, approx 14"-15" long.
I don't know what to do about it, this vertical behavior started two weeks ago and the bulge with the "worm" a day ago. He has never been ill previously and there has been no live food put in the tank in several years. His appetite has not changed at anytime. Any ideas?
