hi all
just wondering if anyone has seen or got a pure black oscar if there is such a type just wanted to see one cas one of the staff at my lfs thinks hes seen one before with no orage on it at all just all black

ive just googled black oscar fish and come up with........its possible but very rare....:22:

yeah it could be possible but rare like angelcakes said.

If you did see one i suppose you couldn't really say you have unless it was fully grown as any younger oscars might not have their full markings yet.

The wild O's don't have any orange on them but they still have a mottled color their not all black but anythings possible.

Funny you should say that, I had one trying to get it on with my BN, jumped out the window the minute I walked in. Grr.. Pesky black oscar, why i oughta...

Ive seen a long finned pink oscar but no black ones so far, your lfs dude may have seen a dyed one
