What is the difference b/w 'cured' live rock and live rock?

Is 'cured' live rock just live rock that has been cycled?

Is live rock bought at the 'LFS cured'?

How many pounds of live rock per gallon?

If I sound lost please help me understand!

Cured means that it is live rock that has already been conditioned and is stable to use right away in an aquarium with minimal concern in most instances.

Yes it has been cycled and can be used to help seed the tank.

Is live rock bought at the 'LFS cured'?
They sell both depending on your LFS.

How many pounds of live rock per gallon?

Oldhead said it pretty much.

If you are adding live rock to an existing tank, you must have it cured. If the live rock is the first in the tank it doesn't need to be cured, it will cure itself as the tank cycles.

How much live rock per gallon depends on your bio-load, and the type of live rock you are using, but the very general rule is 1-2 pounds per gallon like oldhead stated.

Yup!

Any live-rock exposed to air will have die-off...ammonia - and then the nitrites, nitrates...

That's why you never add uncured LR to an established tank.

1- Cured is stable and full of good life

2- depends on the LFS and their suppliers

3- I personally go 4lbs/g-5lbs/g

Wow, you really like your LR there don't you!

I have about 1.5lbs per gallon in my 72g right now, I hope to bring it up to 2lbs/g later though.

...I don't think having too much LR is a good thing...I read something about it...and now can't quite remember what I read...if I find it again, I'll post it...

I never go over 2 lbs per gallon. I get about 2/3 the required in uncured LR from Sea Life Inc. and the rest is from my LFS or an existing tank I have. I have over 20 lbs in my 10g and that is pushing it in my opinion.
