I just wanted to see how everyone else was keeping their bettas.

It's my wifes fish actually but I setup the tank and everything. This is Tyson.

He was living in a 1 gallon bowl until we found this 6 gallon eclispe on craigslist for 10 bucks. The two plants in the front are real and the red ones are plastic. The rocks we found down by the river.

Since being moved into his new home, Tyson has become much more active. He is always on the move and seems to like his new tank very much. His only tank mates are a algae eating shrimp and an apple snail (the cleaning crew). The apple snail will probably out grow the 6 gallon tank but for now he is still a good size.

At first I was a little worried about having too much water current for a betta. If they don't have calm enough water to build a bubble nest they can be stressed. Tyson doesn't seem to mind the current and builds his nest without any problems. Let me know what you think. Any suggestions are always welcome and feel free to post pics of your betta tanks and bowls.

Nice looking betta. I kept mine in a half gallon tank in the bathroom. We called him Nightlight. We had him for a year before he passed. Haven't had the heart to buy another.

Tyson is on my wifes desk. It's relaxing to watch him while working on the PC. I can see how a tank in the bathroom would be nice.

I just posted this picture on another thread, but....here you go....

I put him in here today...he's been in my 30 gallon with my other fish and it just wasn't working out. He looks lovely in the vase, I hope that if I do frequent water changes and make sure the temperature in the house doesn't drop below 70 that he'll be happy there.

I like that vase. How many gallons would you guess that thing is?

I know exactly....I have about two and a half gallons in there

I got it at pier 1- and I got the aquarium glass at michaels...the label on the bag says it's aquarium safe.

Your betta tank is the nicest betta tank I've ever seen a betta in.....hands down. He has got to be a happy camper in there.

Napoleon is in a 5 gallon on top of my dresser in my bedroom. He has a pair of albino corys, a rock cave (although no one uses it), a canopy of corskcrew val., an anubias leaf to rest on. I also did a DIY blocker to reduce filter current. He built his first bubble nest just two days after I had him!
