Danio's are weird and I don't like them much. I had a few long-finned danio's that were a joy to have and so pretty. I got some zebra danio's and they stripped the fins on the others in two days time. And constantly, non-stop, chased all the zebra females.
I have giant danio's now and they are nothing like the zebra's. Not this picking away and constant chasing at all. It's a good thing because they are huge!
But yes, danio's can be aggressive.

I had 2 glow light (?) danios and added 4 leopard ones. They fought for about a week. There is always squabbling between them, but not much damage. There does always seem to be an odd one out, but I find that normal in schooling fish.

I have 4 danios and was just looking for information on the behavior they are exhibiting. They seem to be chasing each other a lot and sometimes are found really low in the tank doing tight circles.
I was just wondering if they were being aggressive or maybe mating or something.

its always fun to watch them chasing one another and don't worry abt fin getting nipped, its quite normal and will not result in any fatal damage.

They are spawning when they're doing that.

Yeah Vette, as Lady Hobbs said they are spawning. You'd be lucky to find any fry unless its in a breeding tank as the eggs and fry are so small nearly will get eaten before they are noticable.

Yeah i wouldn't doubt it. I sometimes see some of my bloodfins picking at the gravel like they are hungry so if there are eggs there that's probably what they're eating.
