My son and husband are working on the run. I hope they finish it this weekend. Then I have to make the gate for it.

THEN I can put the chicks outside while I clean the inside and put in a deep-litter bed. If they're not inside all the time, it won't get dirty so quickly. I need to nail in a couple of threshold barriers to keep the litter in place, so it doesn't slide out every time we open the doors.

I also need to make a chicken ramp...build a play-stand for the yard (wire together some solid branches for them to sit on outside)...make a roost for inside - and eventually the nest boxes.
